Not sure which machine you need?
Tell us about the site and what you need cleaning. We’ll recommend the machines worth considering.
We will come out and look at the floor the machine has to clean before you decide on one. Free of charge, anywhere in the UK, from our own team in Alcester.
An assessment is one of our people coming to your site and walking the floor the machine will have to clean. We measure the area, take the routes an operator would take, look at what ends up on the floor, and ask how the cleaning gets done at the moment.
You get back a recommendation with the reasoning attached: this machine, this brush and squeegee specification, because of your aisle widths, your floor finish and the window you have to clean in. There is no charge for it and nothing to commit to at the end.
Specifying a floor machine comes down to fit: whether it reaches everywhere, whether it finishes inside the shift, and whether it copes with what is on the floor. None of that is answerable from a datasheet, which is why we would rather come and look at it.
Most machines that disappoint were specified on the size of the building rather than the size of the job. Too wide and it will not turn where it needs to turn. Too small and it never finishes the floor inside the shift, so the cleaning quietly goes back to being done by hand.
Working width, hopper or tank capacity and battery run time all have to survive the same shift, and that is the sum an assessment does. If a walk-behind will cover your floor in the time you have, we would rather say so than quote you a ride-on, and rather say it now than after delivery.
The visit answers that as well. A machine running every shift, all year, normally pays for itself as a purchase. A short contract, a seasonal peak, a building you are not certain you will still be in — that is what the hire fleet is for.
We will price it both ways and give you the running costs, not only the cost of acquiring it. Brushes, squeegee blades, filters and batteries all land on the same budget line eventually, and they are easier to plan for than to discover.
Where it helps, we will arrange for the machine to be run on your site, so you can see the finish it leaves on your floor rather than in a photograph of someone else's. It is also the honest way to judge how loud it is in an area people are working in.
Hire does the same job over a longer run. Take the machine for a few weeks, put it through a normal month, and make the purchase decision on the back of that.
A written recommendation: the machine, the brush and squeegee specification for your floor, the reasoning for both, and a price to buy and to hire. Where two machines would genuinely do the job, you get both, with the difference between them in plain terms.
If the answer is that the machine you already have can be brought back to standard rather than replaced, we will say so rather than quote you a new one.
Tell us where you are, roughly how much floor is involved and what the site does — warehouse, factory, workshop, car park, food production — and we will arrange a time. We cover the UK from our depot in Alcester, Warwickshire.
A few things are worth having to hand: the area, the shift pattern, and how the floor gets cleaned now. If you already run a machine, the model off the plate is useful, and a photo of the plate is enough.
